What is nutrition coaching?
- Nutrition coaching is for participants who are ready to take action and find their next steps with nutrition and their relationship with food and body.
- Every session is collaborative, client-centered, and unique, as it is based on the needs of the individual. Some sessions involve learning about nutrition and/or physiology, others involve processing food and body image thoughts and feelings, and most involve coming up with a simple action plan.
- This is based on the 1% approach at BridgePoint, and is always about what we can add in.Nutrition coaching sessions happen online or by phone.
- There is also support available in between sessions through the Recovery Record app! In this app, participants can track their recovery journey, access tools, and message directly with BridgePoint team. Recovery Record is available to all alumni whether or not they participate in nutrition coaching.
Who can access nutrition coaching services?
- Nutrition coaching is available to BridgePoint Alumni (which means you have completed a minimum of an onsite or virtual retreat) who do not have access to a dietitian or nutritionist who is trained in the eating disorders field.
Who would my nutrition coach be?
- Nutrition coaching services are provided by team member Jackie Reimche, a Registered Holistic Nutritionist and Eating Disorder Recovery Coach. She follows the non-diet, weight-inclusive, and Heath at Every Size approach.
